ECOWAS ta bai wa ƙasashen Burkina Faso, Mali da Nijar wa’adin watanni shida domin sake duba matsayarsu kan ficewa daga ƙungiyar.
Sanarwar ta fito ne, bayan taron shugabannin ECOWAS karo na 66 da aka gudanar a Birnin Tarayya, Abuja.

Ƙasashen uku sun sanar da ficewarsu daga ECOWAS, wanda zai fara aiki daga ranar 29 ga watan Janairu, 2025, sai dai ƙungiyar ta ba su ƙarin watanni shida domin tattaunawa da sasanta matsalolin.
Shugaban ECOWAS, Dokta Omar Touray, ya ce, “Ƙungiyar ta buɗe kofa don tattaunawa tare da ƙasashen uku a wannan lokaci, tare da faɗaɗa sulhu a tsakanin shugabannin Togo da Senegal.”
Haka kuma, ya bayyana cewa ECOWAS tana shirya tsare-tsare na dangantakar siyasa da tattalin arziƙi idan har ƙasashen suka ƙi yarda da buƙatarsu.
Shugaban Ƙasa, Bola Tinubu, wanda shi ne shugaban ECOWAS, ya yaba da ƙoƙarin mambobin ƙungiyar wajen nemo mafita.
Ya ce, “Bari mu haɗa kai don tabbatar da zaman lafiya da ci gaban yankin Yammacin Afirka, wanda aka gina a kan ’yanci, adalci, da kyakkyawan mulki.”
ECOWAS tana fatan cewa tattaunawar za ta taimaka wajen dawo da ƙasashen cikin kungiyar.
