Tsohon Shugaban Ƙasa, Olusegun Obasanjo, ya shawarci matasan Najeriya da su guji amfani da miyagun ƙwayoyi, inda ya ce suna lalata rayuwa.
Ya bayyana haka ne a Abeokuta, yayin taron yaƙi da shaye-shaye mai taken “Fly Above the High” wanda Ƙungiyar Recovery Advocacy Network ta shirya.

Obasanjo, ya bayyana yadda gogewarsa a matsayin Shugaban Hukumar Yaƙi da Shaye-shaye ta Afirka ta Yamma, ta nuna cewa yankin ba kawai waje ne na jigilar ƙwayoyi ba, har ma ya zama cibiyar shan ƙwayoyi.
“Tun sama da shekaru 10 da suka wuce, mun gano cewa Afirka ta Yamma ta zama cibiyar shan ƙwayoyi, kuma lamarin ya ƙara muni tun daga wancan lokacin,” in ji shi.
Ya bayyana yadda ƙoƙarinsa na fara shan taba sigari ya haifar masa da matsanancin tari, wanda hakan ya sa ya bar sha gaba ɗaya.
Ya ce, “Da na ci gaba, da na shiga masifa. Da zarar ka fara, yana da wahala ka daina.”
Ya ƙara da cewa, “Babu wani amfani da ƙwayoyi za su yi maka sai lalata rayuwarka.”
Daraktan Asibitin Serenity Royale, Dokta Kunle Adesina, ya bayyana cewa kashi 14.3% na ‘yan Najeriya suna amfani da ƙwayoyi, inda ya ce mace ɗaya a cikin mutum biyar na amfani da ƙwayoyi.
Ya jaddada muhimmancin rigakafi da ƙarfafa dokoki domin rage yawaitar miyagun ƙwayoyi.
Likitan kwakwalwa, Dokta Samuel Abah, ya ce, “Mun gano cewa har waɗanda ke da alhakin hana yaɗuwar ƙwayoyi, wasu daga cikinsu suna da hannu a matsalar.
“Dole mu tsaya tsayin daka cewa wannan abu ba shi da amfani, sai dai lalata rayuwa. Bana jin daɗi gaskiya.”
