Jami’ar Usmanu Danfodiyo da ke Sakkwato (UDUS), ta sarrafa rigakafin COVID-19 ta farko a Najeriya kuma za a fara gwajinta nan ba da jimawa ba.
Rigakafin mai lakabin “SJN3T CorVac” an sarrafa ta ne a jami’ar bayan Asusun Tallafa wa Manyan Makarantu na Najeriya (TETFund) ya dauki nauyin binciken.

Aminiya ta gano cewa hukumar ta TETFund dai ta ba wasu manyan makarantu da cibiyoyin bincike tallafin Naira miliyan 420, domin su sarrafa rigakafin.
Makarantu da cibiyoyin sun hada da UDUS da Jami’ar Jos da Cibiyar Binciken Dabbobi (NVRI) da ke Vom da Cibiyar Bincike Kan Magunguna ta Kasa (NMRI) da kuma Cibiyar Bincike kan Fasahar Sinadarai ta Kasa (NARICT) da ke Zariya.
UDUS dai an ba ta umarnin ganowa da kuma sarrafa rigakafin, yayin da Jami’ar Jos za ta gudanar da gwaji a kai.
Da yake gabatar da rigakafin, ga Shugaban TETfund, Sonny Echono, a ranar Litinin, Shugaban jami’ar UDUS, Farfesa Lawal Bilbis, ya ce an samar da rigakafin ne cikin wata 11 bayan karbar kason farko na tallafin.
Ya ce, “Wannan ci gaban da aka samu na nuna kwarewar da aka samu wajen amfani da fasaha don magance kalubalen yaduwar cututtuka a Najeriya.
“Jami’armu ta kuma sarrafa rigakafin cutar Zazzabin Lassa da ma wasu cututtukan masu yaduwa,” in ji shi.

Receiving the vaccine, Echono commended the university, saying it was steadily growing in strength in terms of problem solving research.
