Wani rahoto da Hukumar Lafiya ta Duniya (WHO) ta fitar ya nuna Najeriya na fuskantar mummunar illar cututtuka masu nasaba da hayaki, inda aka yi asarar rayuka kimanin 30,000 a shekarar 2022.
Wani daftarin rage cutar taba sigari a duniya ya nuna cewa kimanin kaso 4.1 cikin 100 na manya a Nijeriya suna shan taba a halin yanzu.
Hakan dai na nufin kusan mutum miliyan 4.5 ne suke shan tabar. Kaso 7.9 daga cikin adadin maza ne, yayin da mata ke da kaso 0.3.
Da yake jawabi a bikin ranar shan taba ta duniya ta 2023, kakakin gidauniyar FCFA, Abisoye Micheal, ya ce alkalumman na nuna bukatar gaggawa ga gwamnatin Najeriya wajen ba da fifikon dabarun rage cutar tabar sigari (THR) kuma ya bukaci gwamnati ta dauki matakin irin wanda Kasar Sweden ta dauka a baya.
Ya bayyana cewa, ta hanyar yin amfani da tsarin na Sweden, Najeriya za ta iya share fage ga sauran kasashen Afirka, ta yadda za ta ba da misali wajen rage yawan shan taba da kuma samar da kyakkyawar makoma ga mashaya sigari da ma matasa da ke tafe.
Ya ce gagarumar nasarar da Sweden ta samu a bayyane take, yayin da take matsowa kusa da zama al’ummar da ba ta da hayaki.
Abisoye ya kara da cewa a cikin shekara 15 da suka gabata, yawan shan taba a kasashen Turai ya ragu daga kaso 15 zuwa kaso 5.6 cikin 100 na ban mamaki, wanda ya mai da shi mafi karanci a duniya.
“Wannan nasarar ba wai kawai tana nuna raguwar shan taba ba, amma kuma tana nuna raguwa mai yawa a cikin hatsarin da taba sigari ke haifarwa ga kiwon lafiyar al’ummar kasar.
“Har ila yau, hakan ya sanya kasar Sweden shekaru 17 a gaban burin da Tarayyar Turai ke da shi kamar yadda wannna kididdiga mai ban sha’awa wadda shaida ce ga tasirin hanyar da kasar ta Sweden ta dauka na rage hatsarin da ke tattare da taba sigari,” in ji Abisoye Micheal.
